&welcome;

   to terminal-romance.net

this is the new collective of KAYJAY who you [probably do not] remember from numerous domains and collectives in the past. after a three year HIATUS from the internet and collective ownership, she has returned and brings you another domain [that you probably don't care about].

TERMINAL-ROMANCE.net is that domain. For now there is not that much here, but I'm working on it. to find out more about the possible upcoming projects, please visit the [NETWORK] page.

all in all, this is the eighth domain I have owned.
originally, I was going to open terminal-romance.net as a high-quality image gallery for tom petty and the heartbreakers. however, I'm really lazy and busy and that's a really big undertaking. so although it got started, it never came to be. and then when I decided to open another collective, I had fallen in love with the name and just couldn't get over that.

the name terminal romance is taken from the original working title of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' second album. there were flyers released advertising that "terminal romance" was in the making, and that "your kisses are worth waiting for". the album was eventually released, but the original concept was abandoned and it was retitled you're gonna get it! personally, I think terminal romance would've been a better title. Tom Petty agrees with me.

"Denny Cordell wanted to call the album Terminal Romance, which I thought was a better title. ...I wish we would have gone the other way with it."
(Tom Petty, Conversations with Tom Petty, 2005)

the second version of terminal-romance.net features art of Rydia from final fantasy IV: the after years owned by Square-Enix. it was designed and coded by myself using paint shop pro 11, notepad, and CSS. validated for appearance and functionality on firefox, internet explorer, safari, and opera.

   that I have owned.

&aoi-koe.com

my first domain was opened in April of 2002 after Odile got it for me for my birthday. prior to that I had been hosted on her domain, WINDSCHASER.com. it featured mostly anime and video game related shrines & image archives. means 'blue voice' in Japanese.

&hoistingthelight.com

launched early 2002, around the same time as aoi-koe.com, this was a massive final fantasy IV fansite that moved from tripod. it was very in depth and extensive. ended up being closed because of massive amounts of image theft that offended me greatly. I'm still considering putting together another final fantasy IV site. was named after a line from the original english translation of the game: one to be born / from a dragon / hoisting the light / and the dark.

&bleeding-moon.net

launched in May of 2003, this was a Yami no Matsuei fansite that I ran with Odile. it was a huge undertaking, with high-quality scans, information, fanbase, etc. it survived for a few years, expiring 2006/04/22.

&scabbed-wings.net

I believe this opened late 2003 and closed early 2004. I'm not 100% sure of the dates, but it wasn't around terribly long as a collective. I did have the domain itself registered for at least a year. named after 'angel with the scabbed wings' by marilyn manson.

&tokidoki-blue.net

replaced scabbed-wings.net as my main collective. was also not around very long, registered on 2004/02/20 and closing around the end of 2004. named after the song "tokidoki blue" from kimagure orange road, one of my all-time favorite series.

&plastic-stars.net

registered 2004/10/24, plastic-stars.net was my most stream-lined domain. by this time all my shrines had disappeared, and the domain existed more for information about me and as a place to host things that I wanted to share. went very stagnent after 2005 and was expired 2007/10/23. named after the song "plastic stars" by freezepop.

&billandjenn.com

registered 2006/08/18, this is my wedding website. it is still active, now just holding pictures from my wedding and honeymoon, and information from our special day. it's pretty much static, mostly because I can't bear to part with it.

the star stealing girl

Kayjay, twenty-four years old and living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida until my husband finishes his PhD next year, 2010. then, I don't know where I'll be, but I have to like it better than here.

I fix computers and assist a lawyer in getting disability for those who truly need it.

I have a journal, but it is friends-only.

I also have a soundtrack.
